All-Party RJ Parliamentary Group Formed

An All-Party Parliamentary Group on Restorative Justice launched this week, aiming to improve the use of Restorative Justice in the UK.
All-Party Parliamentary Groups are informal cross-party groups of MPs, run by Parliamentarians for Parliamentarians. APPGs focus on a particular subject area, and can make recommendations to Government about that subject, drawing on expertise from the sector if they choose to. The Chair of the APPG is Conservative MP Elliot Colburn, whose constituents Ray and Vi Donovan are prominent campaigners for Restorative Justice, and Why me? ambassadors.
Why me? director Lucy Jaffe observed the first meeting of the APPG, and wrote her reflections about what changes it can seek to influence, and the pitfalls which it needs to avoid.
