In order to help the six Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) who signed Why Me’s pledge (including Simon Foster, West Midlands PCC) and all others who were recently elected, they hosted an event for PCCs and their staff to learn more about Restorative Justice, and how to widen access to it.

Two PCCs attended personally (Emily Spurrell from Merseyside and Andy Dunbobbin from North Wales) as well as senior staff from 15 other PCC offices.

They had the opportunity to hear from ambassadors Teresa and Rob, who spoke powerfully about their lived experience of the Restorative Justice process and offered their insight into the issues discussed.

The event also offered practical guidance for PCCs on how to widen access to Restorative Justice and improve this service in their area.
